On March 11 a new documentary was aired on French television (ARTE – French-German cultural tv channel) by French journalist and film maker Marie-Monique Robin, The World According to Monsanto – A documentary that you won’t see on American television. The gigantic biotech corporation Monsanto is threatening to destroy the agricultural biodiversity which has served mankind for thousands of years.

This is the food equivalent of the excelent documentary (also available on this site) Flow: For Love of Water. This film shows almost exactly the same strategy being used by multinational companies to control universal resources (in this case water)which are essential for life on this planet. If the multinationals are aloud to take control of the water and food on this planet than some of the most dispicable types of people will hold power of life and death for the majority of people on earth and thus we will be subjegated.
We can not rely on government to protect us from this because the ones who hold the real power have the same goals and are assotiated with the same people as the companies pushing the products. The sad part is it may already be to late to avert a tragedy of global proportions without violent uprisings which in themselves breed tragedy and ultimately hurt innocent people. We must find a way.
