It is a course lessen in how power evolves from those with guns and the arrogance of youth. The demeaning treatment, the humiliation, the downright indecency of one human towards another. It is and awful experience to witness these brutal inhumane ways even as I sit in a comfortable chair with fresh coffee.
Thank You Documentary Wire for allowing us the opportunity to view this reality and to those out-there believing the whole USA and the whole Israel is represented herein, please let me inform you that it is not.

Abaddon – I agree with you. However, I’d like to suggest that the Creator talked about in the religious texts is a fallacy, not a real god. All those books you mention are written by people who weilded immense political power. The ‘real’ God is best described, as far as I’m concerned, in the Tao Te Ching. In the Tao, God is ‘nameless,’and exists in the totality of existence. Somehow, evil (negative) can only exist because there is good (positive). In the center is balance – emptiness and fullness, positive and negative, in perfect balance. It’s like nature, we don’t think of lions as evil even though we know they eat baby animals by ripping them apart while they’re still alive. Is that evil? And the mountians – beautiful, expansive, and awe inspiring – until you fall off a cliff or get stuck in a blizzard unprepared in the wilderness. Suddenly the beauty and splendor transform into terror and fear, but there is no good or evil in that, it’s just nature. The best way, in my opinion, to change the world is to change yourself. Don’t dull the mind nor incite it – stay centered. Don’t hate evil because hate is negative and evil is negative. Use evil to reinforce the good. When you see a movie like this, don’t hate or love, just know that to live is to suffer and to live is to die. It’s impossible to change others, so change yourself. I hope you understand where I’m comming from, my intention is not to tell you you are wrong, but to point out a way to overcome the energy inherent in this world. Peace!

Yeah this is an interesting video, it kept me occupied while i was studying! Didnt want to study so i ended up getting sucked into this site, it was a much better alternative. They are bit strict though with who they let pass!

Observation Man; There is no religion or people who are immune from committing atrocities. The Orient itself is as tainted as all other religions with blood on its hands. Would you not fight to defend what you loved, cherished and believed in? Would you not defend those you love if the situation demanded it? We must remember that those emotions of hate, jealousy and the like are not bad in themselves, it is how we use them! Is it wrong to hate what is bad? Is it wrong to jealously guard and protect your family from that which can harm it. Well, I think these checkpoints, as disturbing for everydays life indeed are, do not exist for nothing. Most of the Palestinians want peace as much as the majority of Israelis, but there are a few who promote terror only and those are indeed filtered by these checkpoints. The Palestinians, in order to help solve this and consequently their own living standards, need to reject this violence in their own society. No other way.
Apart, did you ever see anywhere else in the world, Tibet, Armenia, Kurdish regions in north Iraq someone being able to discuss with the border soldiers as there? They shout at them, in China you would end in a labour camp for 20 years. So understand that this is a tough region and those checkpoints are not there as a game, but are part of this tough reality.
And by the way, not the Israelis humiliate the Palestinians, they humiliate themselves: by promoting terror, teaching their children hate and the love to destruction and glorifying so called “heroic” martyrs.
To stand in a queue for hours as a consequence of this hatrage is a mild punishment to what they deserve: injecting their children with this hateeducation, they all should go to prison for. In a western country you could not even keep your children without the athorities taking it away from you for perverted education.
And yes, there are rules in Israel, and at the checkpoints, that means permit is a permit, no souk-trading, and if there wouldnt be rules, Israel soon would be as anarchic, chaotic, and bad as the palestinian areas where they now for 6 decades show that they are unable to govern themselves.

Great doc. It’s important to see what goes on at these checkpoints, and I like how the filmmaker basically just showed the raw footage and let us make up our own minds.
To those who are condemning Israel after watching this, I think you are missing the point. If you had just watched an hour of hamas rallies calling for the murder of Jews and th detruction of Israel as a religious duty, you would feel equally disturbed I’m sure. The fact is the checkpoints suck for everyone involved, for the Palestinians who are being humiliated and for the soldiers who’d rather be anywhere else.
Also, at the time this was shot, Palestinian suicide bombers had been blowing themselves up in Israeli nightclubs and buses for the past year. The second intifada claimed over 1000 Israeli lives, mostly civilian. Something to consider. . .
I feel somewhat responsible for this mess being an Englishman and hoped our Middle Eastern Envoy the right honourable Mr Blair would be of some help but i had forgotten how useless he is, i think he visited Israel and didnt bother with Palestine. I have seen this on films my ex brought back from Palestine. Believe me this is the tip of the massive controlling iceberg.
I think that a lot of the problems in this conflict are caused on the ground by kids who are doing their mandatory service. Not everyone is cut out for the military and pushing everyone into it regardless of this fact is bound to have repercussions.

I am so sick of hearing about how bad Hamas is, a terrorist party etc etc. We forced so called democratic elections on Palestine which were done with plenty of outside forces watching that they were fair and free. the palestinian MAJORITY was for hamas so if you want democracy DEAL WITH IT and if you want a dictatorship admit it. Every human being has the right to move freely in the land and yet for some reason we do not apply the same rules we have for ourselves to the people of palestine. The roadblocks and checkpoints are in place every single day. These people are refugees in their OWN backyard and to add even more insult to injury they are not allowed to reach hospitals in a time of emergency, visit family, attend funerals or weddings or even work unless a gun wielding idf soldier says they can. Think people. These checkpoints came up after the intifada started. There were suicide bombings daily. People in cafes, children in school busses where being blown up by Palestinians. Now a days, the checkpoints are more effective and Israel has gotten a security wall up. Suicide bombings have gone down to almost zero.
At the checkpoint they stop aprox. 20 people weekly trying to smuggle in weapons.

There are a few lectures available, the names of which escape me at present, which describe the larger goals of this policy of apartheid and racism. The end goal, as we all know, is to fully subsume the Palestinian state into the Israeli state. From my research, it seems like the Dome of the Rock is the king piece (chess), and everything else is simply moving the other pieces into position.
I wish with all my heart that people across the world would stop believing the puerile nonsense vomited at them from their infotainment news stations and politicians, and grow up. The way the world really operates is, thanks to the internet and videos like yours, in full view; naked for all the world to see. But it remains hidden only because people fundamentally do not care about anything or anyone but themselves and the few people around them with whom they interact daily.
To the Christians out there: How many Palestinian Christians (about 20% of the population) have we killed through our collective disinterest? How many Palestinian children have been killed with weapons purchased with our tax dollars?
