It allows you to ignore anything you don't like by insulting the messenger's motives and character rather than actually dealing with what he or she says. In other words, it's a license to turn off you brain. Then again, in my experience when faced with criticism instead of dealing with it face on conspiracy-nuts -- and these videos are nothing more than one large conspiracy theory -- ultimately always resort to either accusing the poster as being a member of the "conspiracy" or being a mindless "sheeple" hoodwinked by the "conspiracy." Either way, it's all an excuse not to think and never challenge your beliefs -- which I guess is necessary when you believe in paranoid conspiracy theories based on massive misunderstandings and distortions of the facts (like these videos).
