My younger brother (age 9) and I (age 15) watched this movie. I was already on the verge of going vegetarian for health reason. I believe that no diet is better then a plant based diet. As well as most facts about humans and how our bodies work and convert food into energy that Vegetables and fruits are more then plenty of a diet for us. Look at facts on what determines a Carnivore and a herbivore from each other, we fit into a profile or a herbivore more then we ever well as a Carnivore.

My brother was a total meat lover, meat and potatoes kind of kid. He hated the idea of going vegetarian and hated vegetables even more. We watched this movie, and both of us broke down crying. We love animals and we respect them as equal beings who had decided to evolve in life differently. Humans may know more and can do more in life then other animals, but that's only to our knowledge. Humans can continue to think we are the superior beings on this planet, but fact is we are probably in the percentage of the last creatures created on earth. Any human who believes their life is more valuable than an animal is actually a vain being.

Everyone and EVERYTHING on this earth was born equally. Doesn't matter what Race, Age or Species you are. A mother Dog cares about her pups as much as a human mother cares about her baby. If you say some animals will kill their own young or mate, go watch the news and watch how Humans wiill kill their own as well. People get abortions if they dont want their child, divorcees if they can stand their spouse. But some people with murder their own children and spouse for things such as GREED.

Humans will never fully evolve as creatures untill we realize that this earth is not just our own. The world does not work for just us. Instead we share this planet along with billions of other creatures alive. Become a Vegetarian and help this planet go back to the way it should've been before the human race became violent, greedy and power driven.

This is so important and an indicator in my view that many of us are still deeply stunted in our emotional and spiritual growth. What humans have done to non-humans is unforgivable. I don't see how we can make any progress as living beings until we face and change our relationship with, understanding of and treatment of non-humans.

I have seen the horror in PSA's & would rather not watch it all together. It breaks my heart & leads me to believe people who can do these things to an innocent creature are emotionally damaged from the practice.
As we, humans evolve into a higher understanding it is my prayer that we stop hurting others because we will develope empathy & feelings towards others pain.
We will feel the pain in our own being & stop hunting for sport, killing for fashion, profiting in human & animal suffering.
Pray that if there are other life forms in the Universe - that they don't eat humans.....

I agree with everything you have said!! Would only add that what humans do to other humans is far worse ( take Syria as the latest example) and it is our violence that is at the core of this.

I do not think it's a matter of choosing one being over another. In fact, I didn't feel as if this documentary were insinuating at all that we not eat ANY animal products ever. But rather that the suffering experienced by these innocent creatures cannot be condoned, nor can the environmental and ecological damage caused by it be ignored. One could not logically suggest that NO animals should ever be eaten. Does a bear not catch a salmon for its young? Does a shark not eat smaller fish? A cat, a mouse? The difference being that when, in nature, a creature consumes another creature, it does not inflict prolonged, excessive, or unnecessary harm. But WE do. And perhaps the only affective first step is to radically change the choices we make. As for the slaughtering for indulgence and greed in "fine" overpriced clothing, that's just disgusting. The blatant disregard for the sanctity of all life and for its nature in spectacles such as bull fights, circuses and zoos, and the infliction of pain carelessly upon those too weak to defend themselves are empirical evidence of man's capacity for evil. No one can deny that man is, in his self awareness-among other things- set apart from animals. But does that give us the right to brutally torture these beings more innocent and peaceful and basic than we could ever hope to be? the answer is, always has been, and always will be: no. To respect the sovereignty of life other than our own is not high treason against our own species. To respect animals is not to hate man, quite the contrary. If we respect the co-inhabitants of our world, to respect the world itself, is to value ourselves as a higher order of being that actually has the common sense, compassion and higher reasoning that we purport. I agree though, this film is not appropriate for children. :)

UKAzeri- your question is ludicrous. Torturing 1,000 animals or 1,000,000,000 animals is not going to magically achieve a "cure" for humans. Humans ARE and ALWAYS will be the "guinea pig".
To answer your ludicrous question-NO, I would not expose my child to some lousy drug that was a product of tortured animals. My child is NOT a puppy. My child is a HUMAN BEING and the cruel, senseless experiments that humans inflict on non human animals have NOTHING to do with the outcome on humans.
